Refreshing, sweet, and spicy. This granita recipe is like no other dessert. It makes a great summertime party dessert. You can also spike it to make a delicious boozy-slushy with vodka, gin, rum, or tequila.

Watermelon Chili Granita

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoon(s) Bird’s Eye Chili Rich Simple Syrup
  • 1 pound(s) watermelon, seeds removed
  • 1 lime zest and juice
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients in a blender and puree completely.
  2. Pour into a shallow container and place in freezer.
  3. Every half hour until completely frozen, remove from freezer and mix thoroughly with a fork, breaking up ice.
  4. Cover once it is frozen.
  5. This can also be frozen in an ice cream maker for a smoother texture.
