How To
February 21, 2023 by Kelsey J

The New Year is a time for exercise, eating right, and for some; going dry. While we’re all about working off the holiday weight and getting our diet back on track, we can’t give up our beloved wine altogether. Spritzers are a great way to keep your drink low-key and low-calorie. We tried this Fireside Cocktail recipe courtesy of Dempsey’s Burger Pub, Kansas City, MO (originally published by Wine Enthusiast) and loved it. We hope you do too!

¼ ounce simple syrup

2 dashes Angostura bitters

Mint sprig, for garnish

*we added an orange slice for additional garnish and flavor

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Gently roll from one side of the shaker to the other 4 times. Strain into a highball glass over ice. Top with club soda, and garnish with the mint.

P.S. Don’t forget your WineBlock to keep those teeth pearly white while you enjoy your wine.
