This fermented okra is easy to make and can be prepared in minutes. All you have to do is slice a jalapeno, add garlic, and okra.

After a few days of fermenting check and see if you like the taste of the vegetables and then you’re done. Refrigerate after you decide on the flavor that you prefer.

Fermented Okra

Ingredients

  • 1 Jalapeno, Sliced
  • 3 Cloves Garlic
  • 6 Okra, Sliced
  • 1 teaspoon(s) Himalayan Sea Salt
  • Filtered Water

Instructions

  1. Sterilize all items to be used in this recipe.
  2. Add a few cloves of garlic.
  3. Slice jalapeno and add the jar.
  4. Fill the jar with washed okra.
  5. Add 1 tsp. of Himalayan sea salt to a new jar.
  6. Add Filtered Water and dissolve the salt.
  7. Submerge veggies completely with the brine.
  8. Add a fermentation weight to keep veggies under the brine.
  9. Ferment up to one week and enjoy!
