  1. Great Replacement Lid

Posted by Unknown on 22nd Jan 2017

I had been using a Parmesan lid on an old Ovaltine glass bottle to store my nutritional yeast for many years. The Parmesan lid was great because it had two sides (open and with holes), and two flip lids. One of the flip lids finally broke, so I spent about an hour searching the Internet for a replacement, and finally found the Mason Jars lids and inserts. I got a yellow flip lid and the shaker inserts. So I finally replaced my broken lid today. It fits perfectly, it looks cute, and it works great. The lid stays open while you're shaking out the contents. Only one piece of criticism/feedback: I wish the inserts were available in different colors (right now they're only gray). But I'm very happy I found these lids.

  2. Another great ReCap product

Although I have only had these a few days, I really like them, and will be buying more. Also nice to have a variety of colors available. I have had the ReCap Pours since they came out, in both regular and wide mouth, but these add an additional advantage to those. So far, I have used mine with the bigger-hole shaker, and awesome for Parmesan cheese, and know will be good for other stuff too.

  3. No more rust!

Posted by Teresa on 15th Aug 2016

I have been trying to use less plastic and more glass, but have been bothered by the rust formed by Mason jar bands. This cap is the solution. I've looked at a few other plastic bands, but this is the best quality.

  4. Love these lids

I have lots of these flip lids and use them for all kinds of things for storing dry items. I especially love storing different kinds of nuts, each kind in their own pint-size jar. I love the idea that I don't have to remove the lid every time I want a handful of nuts for snacking on; I just flip the lid - so convenient and simple.

  5. Very Handy and Convenient

Just purchased more of these lids - keep finding more places to use besides in the kitchen. Handy for smaller Mason jars to keep paper clips and clips on my desk. Already use in bathrooms too for cotton balls and Q-tips. Hoping this lid will be made for wide jars too.

  6. Innovative

Great idea to expand the use of a traditional favorite of all our old canning jars. I, like many of us that have canned of years, have that favorite, or maybe several, jar that we just can't part with but that isn't really qualified to use for canning any longer. Maybe it has a chipped rim, was a gift from someone who is passed and we don't want to take a chance on it getting broken, maybe it has a hairline crack and wouldn't survive the pressure cooker one last time. Well, here the answer to keeping them in service, but without risking their survival. These lids can take them into a whole new life as storage containers in a dry capacity, the refrigerator, take along beverage containers, if you can imagine it, they can handle it...everyday brings a new use for them! Love them! Thanks for your ingenuity and bringing my imagination to life!
